XILINX

Xilinx, Inc., now part of AMD (acquired 2022), was the inventor of the field-programmable gate array (FPGA) and a leader in adaptive computing platforms. Founded in 1984 and headquartered in San Jose, California, Xilinx developed the first commercially viable FPGA and offers the Virtex, Kintex, Artix, Spartan, and Zynq product families, plus the Versal adaptive SoC (ACAP) architecture for data center, automotive, aerospace, and industrial markets.
