Bohong Electronics (Zhaoqing) Co., Ltd. traces its roots to Taiwan Bohong Electronics Co., Ltd., founded in July 1978 to manufacture aluminum electrolytic capacitors. After establishing Bohong (Hong Kong) in March 1988 and a joint venture in Zhaoqing in August 1988 as the industry's first investment in mainland China, the company set up its wholly owned Zhaoqing facility in February 1993 for capacitors and leads. In March 1999, sales companies were added in Dongguan and Foshan to better serve customers.
