NXP Semiconductors N.V. is a Dutch semiconductor manufacturer and one of the world's leaders in automotive, security, and IoT solutions. Founded in 2006 (spun off from Philips) and headquartered in Eindhoven, Netherlands, NXP produces microcontrollers (LPC, i.MX series), automotive processors, RFID/NFC chips, power management, and RF devices. The company acquired Freescale Semiconductor in 2015.
